This session explores advancements in clinical competency examinations in predoctoral education by integrating innovative assessment methods and informatics technologies. We aim to enhance the evaluation of students’ knowledge, clinical skills and professional behavior for patient care across dental disciplines. Speakers from multiple institutions will present and share their experiences on implementing various approaches for clinical competency examinations in 7-minute presentations, highlighting their impact on student performance and assessment reliability.
